Mona Chawla

Mona ChawlaMs. Chawla is a founding member of the Firm. She concentrates her practice on all aspects of business immigration law, including obtaining employment and investor-based visas for professionals, companies, and businesspersons wishing to relocate to the U.S. or the U.K. She has advised corporate clients and individuals on the immigration consequences of relocating abroad.

Ms. Chawla has been published in the New York Law Journal and various trade magazines on immigration matters. She is also called upon by established universities, consulates, and companies to give talks on the current immigration trends. She has also recently been featured in Success Magazine as 'Law's 10 most powerful Asians.'

Ms. Chawla also has extensive experience in international intellectual property issues, including trademark registration and technology licensing matters in the UK and European Union.

As a member of the New York Bar and Law Society of England & Wales, Ms. Chawla is admitted to practice law both in the United States and United Kingdom. Ms. Chawla is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, and British American Business Council. She has lived in four countries and speaks three languages.

Marc Harris

Marc HarrisMr. Harris is Of Counsel to the Firm and Executive Counsel of Marcus Stephen Harris LLC, our American Affiliate. He focuses his practice on all aspects of technology law and intellectual property law, including domestic and international trademark prosecution, trademark opinions and counseling, due diligence, copyright and trade secret law. He has extensive experience in transactions involving technology licensing, including software licensing, ERP, SCM and CRM implementations, software development agreements and confidentiality matters.

Mr. Harris has extensive legal and related business experience in the technology industry. His prior experience includes over 3 years with the Legal/Contracts Department of SAP America where he negotiated hundreds of technology related agreements with SAP's Fortune 500 client base. He also developed and managed an extensive international trademark and patent portfolio, managed intellectual property litigation, conducted intellectual property due diligence and reviewed advertising material to verify compliance with legal requirements.

Mr. Harris is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and the Technology Executives Club.

Elizabeth Sheridan

Ms. Sheridan is a practising lawyer with varied experience in obtaining family visas and business visas for professionals and large companies wishing to relocate to the U.S.  Elizabeth is admitted to practice law in New York and has had an abundance of experience with prestigious Wall Street firms.  Elizabeth has advised large banks, IT companies, and multinationals on handling their immigration needs within the U.S. and across the globe.   She has also been published in various newspapers and magazines highlighting the various options individuals and companies have when doing business in the U.S.

Cathrine Burnett

Ms. Burnett is Of Counsel to the firm. Her focus is on providing advise to individuals and companies on all aspects of Australian and New Zealand immigration laws and policies. As such, she is professional qualified by the MARA, the Australian governing body, as a Migration Agent. Ms. Burnett has many years experience working in various aspects of Administrative Law and Investigations within the Australian Government environment, including having worked with the Migration Review Tribunal, the Australian Securities Investment Commission and with the Department of Education Science and Training. Ms. Burnett regularly attends seminars and conferences within the UK to speak on both Australian and New Zealand Immigration. Ms. Burnett has had extensive experience in skilled visas, business visas and spouse visas. She also specialises in migration appeals, concerning merits review before the Migration Review Tribunal, Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Refugee Review Tribunal.
